Assuming the Grimlock is finally the royal blue, retail G2 Grimlock, this will be the first time we've seen that deco at retail since the 90's, won't it? I'm amazed it's never used.

We also saw the new one with studio lighting at the reveal, and it looks pretty accurate to this stock photo. The colours they chose are off, possibly due to marketability (IIRC they called out the G2 colour palettes in the stream).

That was amazing. I was glad to see so many deep cuts. Good to see Beast Machines get a nod, too.

I've seen it and it looks phenomenal. There are details in those models that were never even seen on broadcast tv. I can confirm the Beast Wars master tapes still exist, though what shape they're in I don't know.

The main problem with Pretenders for me was that the way they did them in G1, the shells were very fragile, with tabs that were easily broken. It also lead to limited articulation and an inability for the main shells themselves to really DO anything. Any modern rendition would need to be smaller...

The mold has its flaws, but if you have any nostalgia for G1 Blitzwing's toy, there are a lot of great callbacks to it that warm me to it. Yes, even the goofy cockpit sticking out of the tank. And the colours are perfect.
