I'd take the Bus from Muppet Caper or the Studebaker from Movin' Right Along.

Hell yes to the Studebaker!

The way I see it... seven Voyagers comes to $245. Factor in an upcharge for a limited production run... and $300 sounds about right.Well, as I said before, TFSS 4.0 was $297, and it looks like 5.0 was $330. Assuming I have that right, Liokaiser now at seven new-mold (with some parts sharing) bots plus mini-partners is a better deal than either of them. And still nearly a month to get the last tiers in. It's STILL pricey, and for various reasons will probably BE most of my toy budget this year (and Omega was last) but it looks like it will work out.
Now to hope for one extra spear, a new minicon, Jan as a recolor of the Saber Brainmaster, and a whole team set of shells for the dinoforce. Normal low-cost last minute additions...
I noticed today at the bottom of the wrists in the combined mode a nozzle, like a jet exhaust or gun barrel. I think I see how the hand folds away for the jets, it goes SIDEWAYS and the legs collapse around it. I still wonder if Deathcobra's nose gun can be handheld, and if the rotor can be used as a hand weapon.
The blocks on the side of Leozak's feet are where the arms attach. There are sections that slot (?) onto said blocks.Something I've been wondering about Liokasier, is what are the connection ports like? IE what style they are going to use, we seen pictures of the prototypes of combined, robot modes plus vehicle, but not the limib modes seperately as the ports are hidden, so I'm really curious!
RePUGnicon on TFW2005 figured out their approximate heights based on their hand hole size (5mm). They end up pretty big and beefy. The way I see it... seven Voyagers comes to $245. Factor in an upcharge for a limited production run... and $300 sounds about right.
ofc we won't know for certain until we get this thing in hand, or at the very least we see update videos... it may feel like it's not worth seven Voyagers,
Still, the two HasLabs I have (Victory Sabre and Deathsaurus) certainly felt premium so I doubt these guys are gonna end up looking and feeling cheap.
Thanks for the info
In that last picture, I didn't know that Deathcobra was actuallyShockwave2D man in disguise!![]()
There's really no question that HasLab is more economical that FunPub's offerings were. FunPub's exclusives were routinely 4 times as expensive as the toys that used the same molds previously had been. There are lots of reasons for this (not all of which are bad. Please, I'm not looking to start a new FunPub hatred/defense discussion), but suffice it to say, Hasbro's in-house options have always been less expensive for what you're getting, even with all-new molds (such as HasLab).I was thinking more of how the TFSS was mostly repaints and minor remolds, though we DID get the two Pretender Shells in 5 (to be fair, they were both repaints, but a repaint of a shell used for one Con exclusive and a shell from a Japanese exclusive Fortress Maximus recolor, so I gave them more credit, and I also assume it was the extra cost in 5.0). The HasLab just seems somewhat more economical to me, given that what you're getting here is all NEW. I didn't think of size classes, but the measurements will have me reconsidering my shelf plan.
"So how tall is 7D Liokaiser, really?"
"If you convert it to metric, he's 2 Pugs, 1.5 twerpentines, or 3 <Translation unavailable due to gravitational collapse of the conjugating verbiage Space The Color It Bleeds all hail the Mongoose King>"
"Oh, good, it should JUST about fit..."
I don't think anyone here thought you were. Personally, I am not happy at all with Haslab/regular figures becoming so overpriced (especially in Japan, where this set is comparatively around 560 dollars). I believe the prices are going up but the quality is going down. I won't be getting Superion or Devastator due to these reasons (and a few more reasons). I've got no kids, more disposal income than some (but not much) but due to the rising prices of everything else, I've cut back on spending money on TFs.I wasn't trying to cause arguments.
I wasn't trying to cause arguments.
Agreed. I said what I said because I was afraid that I might be doing so (FunPub is historically a contentious topic), and I wanted to avoid that....I don't think anyone here thought you were.
