I say it's a wash. Ransack has a worse robot mode than Kickback but a better bug mode.

Come to think of it, Chopshop is just Shrapnel with more bug legs and cooler mandibles. And better pecs.
yep. the three deluxe insecticons that are easily remoldable from the 'basic' three are such a no brainer it seems weird that we've only really got it twice now - and once was 3p over a decade ago it feels like.

Retailers don't pay close attention to what they're ordering, but I'm pretty sure there's a note in the training manual about never ordering a Transquito ever again.

You mean it wasn't a winning move to make an ugly toy, put it at an expensive price point, not include it on your show and then color it like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich left outside for a week?
I owned one. I didn't hate it until it broke in a couple places. The wing hinges crumbled and one of the chest springs somehow lost all tension.
Transquito, then Inferno, them Scavenger, then Cybershark. Something about that price point in Beast Wars just seemed cursed to shelfwarm.
It only had one mold per wave most of the time IIRC. It leads to accumulation of that one toy
Transquito shipped with B'Boom, but he didn't shelfwarm nearly so much. And later shipments of Cybershark added in Blackarachnia, but by then the other shelfwarmers were taking up so much space that she didn't get out in big numbers.
