They all saw what is happening to tiktok and that platform was killed with a Democrat in the oval office. They know as well as anyone that while tiktok was first simply because of it's sketchy connection to the Chinese government, they will be targeted next, especially by a hostile incoming congress and adminisatration. They are doing this to keep from being broken up or sanctioned for promoting things that the idiot-in-chief doesn't like. Frankly I would have liked them to stand their ground, but they ARE capitalists and profit is more important than principle to their kind.

And let's be real here: there is no way to satiate a bully. Once they start giving in to his requirements, there will always be more requirements, and it will eventually eat into their profit margins.

Considering how poorly we're using social media, might be due for it to fail.

It just occurred to me, but what ever happened to Vance? Have we heard about him recently? I mean, even calling him a footnote now is overly generous, since we all know Musk is the real VP (or Trump is and Musk is the real President, either way), I'm just mildly curious where the sectional predator disappeared to.

Guy wants to run in 2028. We'll hear from him as soon as he thinks there's something to take credit for. Otherwise he'll keep quiet and try to avoid blame for anything bad that happens.

There's been reports that Zuck is also pissed that his post about breaking his leg while training for some sort of kung fu tourney didn't go viral like he'd wanted. So, in part to appease the Orange Shitgibbon, part to assuage his own ego.
Gee, it's almost like running a major social media site somehow turns one into a megalomaniac.

As far as Vance, he knows how volatile his boss is. He's done his job, now it's time to duck and hide till he's needed. If he's not putting himself out there, he can't offend the Orange Creamsickle Tyrant.

I don't think I ever paused to consider that Trump's vanity business is a direct competitor of Musk's vanity business. How are they getting along so well? Will Musk buy TruthSocial?

If Zuckerberg keeps cozying up, is there an anti-trust suit in here somewhere?

Musk and Trump are getting along now likely because Putin has dirt on both of them that they REALLY don't want getting out. I'm pretty sure they both actually hate each other. It will likely end as soon as Putin feels that one of them is no longer useful to him(likely as soon as Musk's financial empire implodes, or Trump's second term comes to an end) Or until Putin dies(assuming that happens before Orange Force One croaks)
