See I always encountered it in a non-porn context. Mostly in sports talk. I only recently found out it was co-opted by pervs.

Edit: for context, I've always understood this as a shared "I understood that reference". The perv/porn thing usually pops up without regard for the actual subject matter being discussed -- someone will make a comparison or namedrop a performer or character, and someone else will jump in with the expression. I'm not judging anyone's kinks or interests, just tired of how reductive it's gotten since 90% of the time "the punchline is porn" (which is also something that's come to infect meme culture).

Probably never, since they have a dedicated Lio Convoy/Leo Prime mould in Generations now.

Takara could, as they have the Legends redeco as precedent. That looked really nice.

If I had to guess, I say the reason Takara released the Thundertron mold in the Japanese Prime line as Leo Prime in the first place was because they didn't want to release the Thundertron character in the line since he was part of a third faction that, by that point, was clearly not going to be in the cartoon (and was a character who only featured in American novels that weren't being released in Japan either), but still wanted to use the mold itself in some capacity.

Think of it like "Terran" is to "Autobot" as "Maltobot" is to "any number of Autobot subfactions like the Autobot Cars, the Dinobots, the Jumpstarters, etc."

Like, Aftermath and Spitfire are both Terrans, but not Maltobots since they rejected joining the Malto family.

I was thinking of it more as like Terrans were the Earth-born equivalent of Cybertronians, while the Maltobots were sort of like what you said: the Malto family subset of the Autobots.
