This one more than the rest felt disjointed, but still some good movement and curious developments.

I assume we'll see them traveling to some of the other planet coordinates from the temple in an attempt to see if one of them can lead them back home, and discover the history behind them all being hidden along the way.

Obviously, the rest will have been destroyed too, but our mysterious previous "Captain" managed to protect At-Attin.

The real question is, does anyone on At-Attin know what's happened in the wider galaxy?

I doubt it. I imagine that the Great Work will end up being something that got finished a long time ago or has become obsolete. Like calculating hyperspace lanes or something. They may have been planted during a big war like the Sith War to preserve culture in case the war was lost.

I think the show could've had a better name. When I first heard it, I assumed the ship would be bigger. We see ships like that crewed by 1 or 2 people all the time and that's even what we are seeing here. They don't need as many people as they have. So I guess it is just a pirate-y sounding fun name because the original crew are all skeletons.

Me a my wife are loving Skeleton Crew so far. It just feels really 80s Star Wars in the best way.

With the reveal of the other At-At____s, and with the one we see, seeming to have once had a city with the same layout, I'm wondering if the "Great Work" was "identical" planets with a control variant. This could have been a noble experiment to try and find the most successful and prosperous form of governing a planet, or it may have been insidious to try and discern the most effective way to control a planets population.

That's actually a really great idea, and fits with other Asimov nods in SW.

I am not sure how much Isaac Asimov would like being nodded at in an episode where a robot reveals that he killed his entire crew and proceeds to start killing children only stopped by being deactivated.

He'd likely think it's about right. He wrote frequently about the flaws in the three laws - many of his stories rely on it.

I actually haven't read any of his robot stories. I guess though that implicit in the rules is not that robots are gentle, but that they must be carefully required to be.

Rearranged (and added) shelves to get ready for the Ghost's impending arrival. FedEx says they have finally received the package (after Hasbro created the mailing label back on the 11th). So for kicks, here's the before:

Bumping and...

Here she is in all her glory; what a masterpiece. Well-packed in a double-reinforced mailer, and everything inside was well secured.

So many incredible details scattered throughout. Just the engines themselves are works of art. Plus a comparison of how much the Phantom II is undersized - it comes with a mini-Chopper head.

And in "Almost there" news - the original Phantom is sooo close to fitting. The channel in the hull is pretty much a perfect size, it's just the fairing that the Ghost's nose should tuck into that is undersized (there are also two tabs that secure the Ghost II which get in the way, but details). I feel like someone who is good with CAD and 3D printing could probably design a swappable piece that let you set the original Ghost in there.

Wookieepedia declares that this is non-canon even to the Legends continuity (what was called "Infinities" back in the 2000s, though when this came out at the close of 1980 we had no category for this).

As Sad a Bastard as I can be, I don't feel that such is really the point today.

This one was fun and interesting and late-breaking imagery made it feel like Star Wars even.

The key could have been a parlor trick, but when Jarod moved the data pad the kid had been holding they confirmed he is using the force. And then they just kept confirming it.

And dang if an accidental lightsaber to the boot isn't what I have been thinking would happen to someone ever since Maul fired up a double-blade.

I'm at the second ep of Skeleton Crew and the main two boys Wim and Neel are sheltered dimbulbs. I hope they do something cool soon cuz I hate watching them. Captain Fern isn't endearing either and the visor girl has no personality. So far, it's only the SM33 Droid who I like.

Well. After 5 episodes Wim has shown 2 signs of growth. Neel is just the same and barely used. Captain Fern has nothing to offer but her insistence on being in charge and the visor girl might as well be an R2 unit. The kids are props. Watch it for the world building, exposition, adventure, and the mystery of Jod Na Nawood, if that isn't a name he made up on the spot.

Much like "Darth Old Spice", we may end up with a breakout character who becomes better known by the names that fans give him than any that are actually used in universe.

Of course, in both cases the characters have multiple aliases and have reasons to not be entirely truthful....
