Concepts and Character arcs to fold into a rebooted G1.

It's a war; not everyone is a clear-cut soldier. Yes, you have standard soldiers and heavy artillery for regular battles, but there's also surgical strike teams and infiltration and espionage units. Barricade definitely falls into the latter. I don't think he's usually meant to actually be...

G.I. Joe thread - 09/13/2024: Pulsecon - Dreadnoks, Dogs and Cereal

The Rage is very cool! My brothers had one that was a garage sale find, so a lot of the weapons were only partially complete. If Decepticons were reimagined as Cobra vehicles, I think the Rage would make a good Onslaught.

Interesting old transforming toyline that I just discovered

These look cool! Any idea what scale they were? Also, I'm really curious what the Van and Chopper were supposed to do.

Concepts and Character arcs to fold into a rebooted G1.

Lots of characters from club D.A.N.G (Didn't Appear iN G1), of course! From the live-action movies, there was a somewhat conscious effort to make the Decepticons have alt-modes that subverted authority (like Police and Military), Barricade being the best example. I think this should continue...

They definitely look better than the Forever Clever sets of the recent past. That said, being a Mattel exclusive with an $81 price tag is going to probably mean I won't get this set. Maybe if some regular retail offerings come out down the line...

Wow, that is awesome! I know I found the Allspark much later, but it's cool to know how much of a Legacy the board has!

    Studio Series discussion

As a toy, it looks pretty OK. Not great, but I'm pretty sure my kid would play with it. Doesn't seem like it would appeal much to collectors, and seems fairly redundant after a year where we got '86 Prime and Legacy Deluxe Prime, among others. There's a lot of Prime on shelves right now.

    Hero Mashers Returns! (Hasbro Mixmashers)

This could be a good line for an Autobot soldier that just happens to look like Rack or Ruin...

My brother had that M. Bison when we were kids! I've kind of wanted to find another one. Nice haul!

How has this conversation gone this long and nobody has suggested "Shadeblast" or "Shadowblast" yet?

    What's up mother huggers??

I...still...function... And check on the Allspark daily! It's the best place to discuss Transformers and other things, IMO.

    Japanese Transformers News

Another reality is, Toho has a LOT of projects going on with other toy companies, including Bandai and Playmates, they may be limited in just how much they can support a deal beyond putting Godzilla's image on merch. Besides, if you really need your Godzilla to transform, there's...

Articulation in toys (continued from the Picture thread)

Regarding Legacy Armada Megatron's shoulders, the only time it really registers as an issue for me is when I try to pose the shoulder treads angled back, and I only try to do that because the original could. Armada Scavenger got mentioned, and while I have an inordinate fondness for the bizarre...

    LGI's Sales Thread

Just out of curiosity, what are you looking for, trade-wise? I'm interested in the TFCC Needlenose and Legacy Calcitron, but I don't have a PayPal or Venmo account; on the other hand, I do have a range of various figures that I've picked up extra over the last few years.

Articulation in toys (continued from the Picture thread)

Growing up, I mostly had Gobots, and most of those had a better range of articulation than the very few Transformers I had, but where I really remember articulation being a thing was with GI Joes; the 3-3/4" o-ring figures had so much more range of motion and poseability than contemporary Star...

Post Pictures of your Transformers, Let's see 40 years worth of Transformers!

So, in keeping with my previous thought about vehicles with animal robot modes, someone ought to make a set of 5 vehicles that all turn into robot lions, and then combine into one humanoid robot. It could be Vehicle Voltron and Lion Voltron simultaneously!

I'm looking forward to SUV Hatchet, for sure, but I would love to see a mold that revisits Jet Hatchet in a Generations/Legacy type aesthetic. I really feel like we ought to get more vehicles that turn into robot animals.

Nice! The nearest Ollie's to me didn't have the set, but there's another one about 45 minutes away that I need to check.
